Brian P. Lund Releases Memoir About Living With Epilepsy

CASPER, Wyo.

According to Citizens United for Research in Epilepsy (CURE), one in 26 Americans will develop epilepsy during the course of his or her lifetime. Across the globe, an estimated 65 million people currently live with epilepsy and hope for a cure.

Author and epileptic Brian P. Lund does not know if there will ever be a cure in his lifetime, but that has not stopped him from living a full life. His new memoir, "My life with Epilepsy and Seizures" (published by AuthorHouse), shares his story of living with epilepsy in an effort to educate and provide comfort to readers with epilepsy and their friends and family.

Lund was first diagnosed with epilepsy when he was born, but he refused to let the disease dictate his life. He lived a normal childhood as best as he could, and he tried to maintain a full-time job. Though there were setbacks, Lund was determined to find the right medication that would help him.

After almost 40 years of seizures, Lund finally became seizure-free with the help of his medication in 2000. On July 11, 2015, Lund will have been seizure-free for 15 years. He hopes his book will give readers a fresh, eye-opening perspective on living with epilepsy and encourage those still dealing with the disorder to never give up.
