Brenda Kesterson, a first time author, has completed her new book "Dark Side of Me": a gripping and potent compilation of short stories that are certain to chill the reader to the bone.

Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Brenda Kesterson's unquestionably riveting tales will keep the reader on the edge of their seat!

Kesterson further explains her work by saying, "My book is composed of four short stories. The first one, "The love of a Vampire" is a story about love, horror, fighting, and giving up everything you have for love. It starts back in the 1800s in the West, around Montana. A woman who has lost her true love and had a ranch to run until a stranger came into her life and changed everything she had ever believed in, and he gave her back the feeling of being loved. "The Cemetery" is a story where a you can get stuck in a place in your mind or in life. It is about taking time to listen to someone's story they have to tell you.

"My next little story is more of a story about a woman who thought she knew who she was. She was always unhappy. She could see the future and the deaths of people. It wasn't until later on she found out why she was able to do this.

"Now for my last story, "the Butterfly," the awakening is kind of short but straight to the point about a woman who wasn't happy with her looks, and she would go through any lengths to change her appearance even if she had to kill to look pretty. I made this book for easy reading. I hope you enjoy my book and want to pass it on to other friends and family members."

Readers who wish to experience this chilling work can purchase"Dark Side of Me" at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play or Barnes and Noble.
