In author Bradley S. Hartman's latest novel, "The Last Crimefighter" (published by AuthorHouse), a young man, Jeremiah Swift, finds himself on a quest that leads him to a legendary part of his father, a magical place long forgotten and the love of his life.

Jeremiah is the son of Ryan Swift, a legendary superhero from before a virus called the Reaping, which killed off most of the world's population. Through his journey, Jeremiah discovers that his dad was more than just a hero, and how inheriting his father's traits let him revive the former superhero his dad had been in order to save Riverview and the people of White City. Ophelia Whitecastle is the beautiful woman, at first a threat to everything Jeremiah stands for, then his ally and love interest in ways she never imagined.

Hartman describes "The Last Crimefighter" as a "return to the good old fashioned action/adventure novels of yesteryear, when we used to sit back, open the page and read the words with images racing through our minds of daring deeds and unfathomable odds defying us to beat them, which we always did."
