The book captures the distinguishable similar and dissimilar quirks and views of persons of the "African-American and Caucasian Persuasions," as candidly expressed by the same ethnic population. Through a series of interviews with an equal number of African-American and Caucasian males and females, Weathersby lists 630 questions that explore their perspectives on a myriad of subjects. Moreover, the book does not focus on an individual character or characters. It emphasizes on the views of the two groups that have an extensive historical experience with one other.
"This book speaks to the acute sentiments of the racial divide and dissimilarities that have anchored its depravity and stronghold on contemporary society and in different historical periods. The unfiltered dialogue was expressed by both African-Americans and Caucasian Americans," Weathersby says. Through "Different but The Same," he imparts to readers understanding, respect and an unhindered inclination to initiate constructive dialogue and a deliberate effort to improve cohabitation transformation.

About the Author
Phillip J. Weathersby, III is an avid reader, sports enthusiast, professional photographer and a political buff. He holds a master's degree in architecture. He designed numerous structures for public and private entities, and established a consulting company that managed multimillion-dollar design and construction projects for similar organizations. His consulting practice allowed him not only to manage design teams and real estate developments, but also to observe people more deliberately, particularly those persons of the "African-American Persuasion and Caucasian Persuasions." That interest compelled him to write a book, hence the release of "Different but the Same." Weathersby is married for 29 years and has a 24-year-old daughter.
