Phillip J. Weathersby, III is an avid reader, sports enthusiast, professional photographer and a political buff. He holds a master's degree in architecture. He designed numerous structures for public and private entities, and established a consulting company that managed multimillion-dollar design and construction projects for similar organizations. His consulting practice allowed him not only to manage design teams and real estate developments, but also to observe people more deliberately, particularly those persons of the "African-American Persuasion and Caucasian Persuasions." That interest compelled him to write a book, hence the release of "Different but the Same." Weathersby is married for 29 years and has a 24-year-old daughter.
