Book Shows Comprehensive Theory on Parapsychology Image Author Philip Hodgetts reveals to readers "The Theory of Material Mind" (published by Xlibris UK on January 2017). The book is an analysis of the physical and metaphysical mechanism involved in paranormal phenomena. It includes a logical and undeniable proof that there is truth in astrology. The theory is basically an analysis of the physical and metaphysical mechanisms involved in the generation of paranormal or, more scientifically expressed, parapsychological phenomena. It includes a logical and undeniable proof that there is truth in astrology as in all the divinatory arts to a greater or lesser degree. It also contains a proof of the existence of the soul or spirit and explains that the personal unconscious is motivated by a metaphysical intelligence, the generator of enthusiasm which the author, along with the ancient Greeks, knows as the god within, the mischievous root and origin of all parapsychological phenomena.

An excerpt from the book:
There are, in the human body, not only physical or material organs, heart, lungs, glands, intestines and such, but two additional entities which are entirely metaphysical. They have no physical existence whatsoever. They are the god within and the spirit. The first is based in the abdomen and centred on the solar plexus while the second is centred in the heart and expands throughout the rib-cage into the neck and head.

"The Theory of Material Mind" explains and summarizes the new science of parapsychology and subverts established scientific beliefs.

About the Author
Philip Hodgetts started his working life in the electronics industry and trained in telecommunications, but switched to fine art a few years later and is now a fully qualified practising visual artist. He studied art at Goldsmith's College School of Art and was awarded an honour's degree. He has always been interested in the paranormal and his belief in telepathy was confirmed at age 17 when he had a clear telepathic communication with his mother. He was also fascinated by the symbolism of astrology - magic - despite his technological background, and his theory contains a watertight logical proof that there is a measure, at least, of truth in astrology.
