Book Release: Political Cocaine, How America Got Hooked on the... Image American consumers demand choice in everything they buy. So why are only two choices for anything political acceptable to us? It seems illogical. It's Political Cocaine.

The book details attitudes of the colonists at the time of the revolution towards Political Parties, and why there is no provision for political parties in the Constitution. Washington and Adams, the first two American Presidents, warned against the formation of political parties, yet they not only formed, they have taken over the American Government, now even the courts. Like the discussion of Thomas Jefferson and James Madison that developed our government by discussing the merits and mistakes of previous systems of government, a similar discussion is needed today. Political Cocaine seeks to initiate that discussion.

Art Rude spent 31 years as a classroom teacher and coach and recently retired as the Safety Manager for Stellar Field Service, an oilfield service company in the Williston Basin of North Dakota. His home is a cabin in the woods at his family farm in the center of the state close to the Canadian border. At a younger age, he held a state-level job as the Public Relations and Fund-Raising Director for the North Dakota Democratic Party. Says Rude, "I took the job naively believing the Democratic Party represented the little guy, but when I got into it I found they didn't want me wasting my time with fundraisers with the little guys, I was to go after the big bucks. I left the job disillusioned and resolved to try fix the system. I ran for the state House and Senate on both sides, as I believed the problem was systematic and not limited to one side. I attempted to work within the system, but realized it was the system itself that needed changing. My real quest started then.”
