When many people today hear the words 'Bible prophecy', they think about the end of time, the book of Revelation and the last judgment. But this isn't the only aspect of prophecy in the Bible, says debut author Robert A. McLeod.

Inspired by decades of researching, teaching and writing about prophecy in God's word, McLeod's new book, God's Purpose for Bible Prophecy, presents to Christians and non-Christians alike an entirely new perspective on the subject.

McLeod's book focuses not on the 'end times' view of Bible prophecy that so many scholars and believers are familiar with, but on the 'relational' aspect, the purpose of which is to prove God exists and thus create a relationship of faith, trust and hope. God's Purpose for Bible Prophecy is the first book in a series that also explains how relational prophecy transforms into promises, how those promises form the basis for hope in Christ, and how hope is the backbone of faith and evangelism.

"With this book I'd like to share what I've learned: that the human heart is the workshop of prophecy", says McLeod. "And fulfilled prophecy is the proof of God's existence - it goes straight into our heart to provoke faith."

About the author

Robert McLeod has studied the end times for almost forty years, and has taught locally in churches and homes for about twenty years. He created the Israel Night Study Series and he has taught a weekly course using archaeology and prophecy in the class. God's Purpose for Bible Prophecy is an entirely different look at Bible prophecy, presenting a solid case to prove that God's extensive use of prophecy in his word exists primarily to bring us into a relationship with him.

McLeod and his wife, Carol, live on a small ranch in Pleasant Hill, Oregon, and raise chickens and turkeys. Carol is a dental hygienist, and Robert helps run a janitorial business. They have been happily married for fourteen years.
