Two years ago, Jacqueline Frist's friend Miranda started writing a story that she hoped to turn into a book. Though she never completed it, it inspired Jacqueline to create her own book. With Miranda's support, they took it even farther than Jacqueline thought it would go which led her in writing "Blueview Island: Book One" (published by Archway Publishing).

This book narrates the story of Jayce and his twin sister Terri, who are sent to see their grandfather, Theodore Hunter III, in his fancy island resort off the coast of California. When they arrive at Theo's island, Terri and Jayce soon make friends with other kids and things appear to be looking up for a summer of fun. But the island hides secrets, which slowly reveal themselves to the twins. Jayce finds a curious oval piece of silver with strange writing, and so begins a journey of enchantment. The island is filled with mysteries, and it is up to a ragtag group of teenagers to uncover Theo's secrets-and the secrets of the beautiful paradise they now call home.

"This is a book written by a teenager for teenagers," Frist says. "So it is written from the right point of view for kids to relate better." "I was 12-13 years old when I wrote this story."

"Blueview Island" is a fun and adventurous read that any teenager can enjoy as they follow Jayce and Terri's journey at Theo's island and the things that will unravel right before their very eyes.
