Sycamore, Ill.

After suffering and overcoming harrowing experiences in the past, succeeding in life despite all odds, and upon the request and encouragement of her son and a colleague, speech-language pathologist Beverly Finn publishes her stunning autobiography, titled You Won't Be Coming Back. Finn's new book is a real life story of survival, overcoming poverty and abuse, accomplishing goals and living a worthwhile life of serving others.

Written with bold honesty and searing truth, You Won't Be Coming Back is the true story of a family's survival during the 1940s and 50s and one sibling's personal journey into a life of achieving, stubbornly staying true to herself while overcoming significant adversity, hardships and poverty. The book is intended to be a source of inspiration for others, especially young girls, who find themselves in challenging conditions.

The story is set in Finn's childhood village of Cadott, Wis. in Chippewa County, her foster home in Glenwood City, Wis., in her college town of River Falls, Wis., and in her adult setting in DeKalb and Sycamore, Ill. Other main characters include Finn's family members, her teachers who were instrumental in her achievements, her foster family, friends, and her own family as an adult.

This memoir will appeal to readers because of its human interest and accounts of significant achievements through sheer will and determination. It has already been warmly embraced by the author's friends, colleagues and families. It is relevant in today's society as it was half a century ago because the things the author struggled with and overcame are still present, namely, poverty, child abuse and dysfunctional families.

Gritty and raw in places, humorous in others, here is a story to celebrate the strength, resilience, and perseverance of the human spirit. It will leave readers in awe of the remarkable power of inner fortitude and determination. An inspiration for others who find themselves in challenging situations and a metaphor for life itself, You Won't Be Coming Back will stay on readers' minds and hearts for a long time.
