Yesterday, John Green, the author of several runaway YA hits such as THE FAULT IN OUR STARS and PAPERTOWNS (Both of which were made into successful movies), announced that he will be publishing a brand-new book this fall. It's his first published book since TFIOS debuted in 2012. Green has been working on this book for years and is finally ready to release it to the world.
The book was kept a close industry secret, so there won't be a long wait, either: You can get your hands on a copy October 10, 2017. Penguin's Dutton imprint will be publishing an initial printing of 1.5 million copies.
Entitled TURTLES ALL THE WAY DOWN, it has been revealed on Publishers Weekly that "the book follows 16-year-old Aza Holmes as she investigates the disappearance of a fugitive billionaire, while coping with mental illness."
In the same article, Green states, "I've been working on Turtles All the Way Down for years, and I'm so excited to share it with readers this October. This is my first attempt to write directly about the kind of mental illness that has affected my life since childhood, so while the story is fictional, it is also quite personal."
Can wait until October? You can see Green talk a little bit more about his new book on his latest YouTube video as well.
