As she grew up the victim of constant teasing, author Berniece Bernay (BB) wondered if she would ever make friends. When she turned 13, Bernay's life began spiraling even further downward into darkness. "Out of Darkness into Marvelous Light" (published by iUniverse) details one woman's poignant quest to find happiness, fulfillment and inner-peace in a complicated world through God's grace and love.

As adolescent angst hung over her like a shadow, Bernay discloses how her struggles, inner-turmoil and heartache led her to feel a sense of hopelessness and that her life had no direction. When a forced encounter led Bernay to finally seek medical care, she received shocking news that changed everything: she was pregnant.

"I want readers to believe that just how God has brought me through and out of this terrible ordeal, He can do it for them. Just trust and have faith in God," says Bernay. "They will know that no one should live in fear of the person who claimed to love them. They would see and discover that God has a plan and purpose for their life."

Days, weeks, months and years passed, the gang continue their provoking and aggravating insults and being made fun of daily. One day, BB decide she could not bear it any longer and vowed that she would fight back but in a flash, she knew that was not what God wanted for her. Whilst on her mission, a stabbing feeling arose in her chest followed by a faint tormenting voice saying, No! No! No! my child don't do it; it isn't worth it.
