About the Author

Jeffry Beers has had more than 20 years of experience teaching at all levels and coaching multiple sports in high school and college. He has a Master's Degree in Education from the University of Portland and a Master's Degree in Psychology from Portland State University, where he received mindfulness training. He has practiced mindfulness meditation for the past five years. He currently teaches Health and Psychology at a high school near his home. He lives with his 14 year-old-daughter in Washington.
