“Medical Manslaughter” outlines the fictional storyline of Nick and Gabriella Carcioni. Nick collapses at home, hitting his head, and was rushed to ICU, admitted for three days, with blood on all sides of his brain. As the blood started to slowly re-enter the body, he was moved to a regular floor for rehab and exercise, told he would be discharged in three days. The doctor assigned to him decided to change some of medicines, and then ordered a sleeping pill, against his wife, Gabriella's objection. Gabriella clearly argued that he did not need it, as he had no trouble sleeping. The hospital administered the pill anyway, and the next morning, Nick was found in a coma.

By sharing and exposing a story on medical malpractice, Yorke urges the readers to learn from what she actually lived and experienced. “Be alert! Become informed! Trust your intuition! If something doesn’t feel right, take action! Believe in miracles, and most assuredly believe in the supernatural!” she expresses.
