San Diego Comic-Con was last weekend, and Penguin Random House plus LucasFilms Publishing gave sneak peeks at new Star Wars novels coming to the franchise. They hosted a panel featuring bestselling, fan-favorite authors Ben Blacker (STAR WARS: JOIN THE RESISTANCE), Christian Blauvelt (STAR WARS MADE EASY), Cullen Bunn (STAR WARS: DARTH MAUL), Christie Golden (BATTLEFRONT II: INFERNO SQUAD), Claudia Gray (LEIA: PRINCESS OF ALDERAAN), Jarrett J. Krosoczka (STAR WARS JEDI ACADEMY: THE FORCE OVERSLEEPS), Cavan Scott (STAR WARS ADVENTURES), Beth Revis (STAR WARS: REBEL RISING), and Landry Walker (STAR WARS ADVENTURES). The session featured exclusive sneak peeks at upcoming stories, had a few surprise guests, and was moderated by Lucasfilm's Michael Sirloin.

The panel starts with each of the authors talking a little bit about their various new books--and dropping hints about titles not out quite yet!

Siglain states that the beauty about the Star Wars franchise of books is that they can be a gateway into Star Wars for new fans, or to relive the movies or to take the movies home with them, especially for younger readers and reluctant readers.

This year marks the 40th Anniversary of Star Wars, and to celebrate, the panelists take turns remembering the experience of their first introduction to Star Wars.

The panelists also discuss their writing and research process when creating their Star Wars novels.

Some of the panel's surprises include cover reveals, upcoming book releases, Lucasfilm Publishing's journey to The Last Jedi, and a few words from a special surprise guest!

May the force be with you as you watch this exciting sneak peek into the upcoming world of Star Wars:
