Kingdom is one of the largest plantations in the southern states and Camberley has become one of the most important estates in the whole area. After studying the plans for a period of time, Hector Rawlinson felt very sure that with the aid of a large workforce, he would be able to complete the promise he had made to his beloved Ann, to provide a home where they could live together for the remainder of their life. He realised it would need a very large investment to bring about his plans for Kingdom. He was also confident it would produce a very healthy return in the long game.

The Rawlinson Family Story, an epic saga written by B.J. Newing is Volume 2 of a compelling novel that tells the story of a family whose lives will change forever as they moved in to their new estate. Hector and Anne Rawlinson were married in 1823. The colored employee servants of their Camberley estate referred to her as Lady Anna. The union between the two of them produced four sons, Charles, Joseph, Jim and John. To complete the family tree, Hector also sires a bastard son called Dean.

Hector was constantly trying to improve and change the present way of living in his young nation. He was against race and colored bar, and is always trying to bring people closer together. It was very difficult for him, as he had to overcome the bitterness as a result of the wars of American Independence from 1775 to 1783 and then deal with the Civil War of 1861. He was totally against the fact that, in a number of cases, a family of father and son or brother versus brother took up arms against each other during this warring period. Even when the Union Army and the Confederate Army were each side of Kingdom, he would not be drawn into the war.

HoweverHector and Ann know will also have to face many difficult situations and had to overcome unpleasant problems in their estate as well as with Dean. How will Hector cope up with all of this? Is he willing to compromise his life for the welfare of his family and children? What other things are about to be unfold before The Rawlinson family's lives?

The Rawlinson Family is an exhilarating and highly-entertaining read everyone should not afford to miss. From beginning to end, it will take readers into an adventure-filled story of one family building their lives together but is constantly confronted by struggles, difficulties and challenges amidst the historical backdrop of the American Revolutionary War and the American Civil War.
