Bartholomew Jones seems like a typical seven-year-old, but there's a reason why the children in Ms. Peacock's 2nd grade class call him Bart the Bully. Author Nona Ransom depicts the trouble that this boy causes and the repercussions of his misbehavior.

Ms. Ransom's children's book includes vivid pictures of Bart wreaking havoc at school by fighting other boys, teasing little girls, and making them cry. He throws food in the cafeteria, disrespects adults, and never listens to anyone, who tries to talk to him about his bad behavior. Bart does not listen to his teachers, his parents, or even the principal, Mrs. Crocodill. However, there is a turning point in the story in which he might listen to two people. It might even be possible that he no longer wants to be called Bart the Bully.

As the story reveals, Room 203 at Green Meadows Elementary School may become a No Bully Zone. With its vibrant illustrations and important moral lessons on a relevant topic for school age children, "Beware! There's A Bully In Room 203!" makes for an informative reading experience for those, who may be dealing with their own "Bart the Bully."
