Tesa Jones loves history, specifically American history. She is also highly interested in American culture, social changes and historical events that shape and alter people's lives. In her second published novel "Reflection of Memories" (published by Archway Publishing), Jones pens a poignant love story, the first in a series. The book incorporates the historical events and cultural changes of the tumultuous American era of the 1900s.

Written from a first person perspective of two characters, the story follows the lives of Richard Malone and Caroline Sue Miller. Richard and Caroline are born on the same day to parents who live on opposite sides of the societal fences. The two meet as children. Despite the economic differences between their families, they become best friends. As they mature, their friendship blossoms into forbidden love.

The underlying theme of the novel, according to Jones, is "The choices we make reflect the memories we create." The book pulls the readers into the minds of the characters, making them feel as if they are living the journey with the protagonists.

"Whether you are sailing through your youthful days or facing your golden years, 'Reflection of Memories' is a story that will capture your heart and remind you of what is truly important in life," the author says.

An excerpt from the book:
In countless ways, life resembles a puzzle. There are many pieces: faith, family, education, environment, friendships, opportunities, hard work, determination, timing and luck. It is up to each individual to decide what to do with his or her own personal puzzle pieces, and that is when choice becomes a factor.
