About the Author
Timothy L. Brinkley is a native of Tupelo, Miss. He is a 1979 graduate of Tupelo High School and a 1983 graduate of Mississippi Valley State University. He is also a graduate of the Mississippi Law Enforcement Officers Training Academy in Pearl and Ministerial Institute and College in West Point. He has 28 years of law-enforcement experience, including eight as a state-agency administrator. In September 2011, he was appointed chief of police for the city of West Point, a position he currently holds. He also serves as the pastor of the Mount Hermon Missionary Baptist Church in the city of West Point. Brinkley is a weekly columnist for the Daily Times Leader in West Point and has a radio ministry broadcast on 98.9 WAJV-FM every Sunday afternoon. He is also a published author. His first book, "Stupid Questions Asked of Jesus," was released in print in January 2011. He currently holds the position of second vice president of the Northeast Mississippi Baptist State Convention. He is married to Glenda Willis Brinkley, formally of Grenada, Miss., and they have two daughters, Victoria and Tia.
