"To believe in dreams, love and the one above regardless of faith or culture," says T.J Bednar when asked about the gist of his debut book titled "A Rasta's Tale from Down Under." In an effort to reveal the true essence of a Rasta, Bednar puts forward a brilliantly written autobiography that looks into the differences of religion, gives an insight into religious teachings and understanding of different cultures, and according to the author, "give an argument why Ganja is a spiritual herb and the laws against its usage is a breach of constitutional rights and freedom of religion."
Bednar broadens readers' knowledge and imagination to the possibility of true love and real magic with this impressive, mind-expanding memoir. With lessons learned from the past, he puts forward a critical deliberation of contemporary issues worth exploring and a look into the world's future. He tackles many different topics in the modern world, including: mysticism and true magic, the mysteries and problems of life, the downside of high living, and the pursuit of finding true love. He also goes into the pitfalls of free trade agreements, especially countries that do not follow the same rules as the west.
"A Rasta's Tale from Down Under" begins in Melbourne, Australia. From there, it spans places in Europe and the Middle East where the author retraced his heritage. Sex, drugs, rock 'n' roll, magic, politics, religion, culture and love galore fill the pages as Bednar explains his Rasta philosophies and goes into the details of different realities, traditions, beliefs and ways of life. In the end, one will gather a greater understanding of life from other perspectives, allowing readers to appreciate his or her faith all the more whilst developing an understanding of other beliefs.
Heavily grounded in the real world, the engaging narrative with clever wit and surprises will keep readers turning the pages until the very end. "A Rasta's Tale from Down Under" is an important contribution in understanding the true essence of life, faith and love.
It is a must-read on the road to a greater understanding of life from other perspectives and beliefs and opens the imagination of the readers into mysticism and the belief in a higher power.
