The book, coauthored by Rob Wingerter and Julie Alvis, explores the historical heritage of the Mission itself and shares compelling stories of individuals who have been served through its outreach to the most vulnerable of the Indianapolis community. Wingerter is a former board member who served for more than twenty five years. Alvis has been involved with Mission for more than four decades and currently serves as the director of donor relations for the organization.
Author Solutions provided editorial and design services to help make the book come to fruition. Assistance was also provided for printing of the book and making it available for distribution. Wheeler announced publication of the book at the 125th Grand Celebration, which took place at the JW Marriott, Indianapolis, on Saturday, October. 20.
