A Phoenix-based author has released a memoir which documents her experiences of physical, sexual and mental abuse, being diagnosed with breast cancer and permanent partial facial paralysis. "I CAN-CER Vive: Live Free, Be Happy," by Monya Williams, is an inspirational story of how one woman has stayed positive in life, despite the several battles she's faced.

Williams documents her experiences through physical, sexual and mental abuse as a child. As she went through life, she suffered from depression as a result of the trauma. Throughout all of this, she stayed positive - even when she was diagnosed with cancer and permanent partial facial paralysis. While at times she almost crumbled under the pressure of these traumatic instances, Williams flips the script in her life and is determined to live her "happily ever after."

Williams has been journaling since she was a child, and prior to being diagnosed with breast cancer, began blogging. What started out as documenting her daily life quickly turned into her journey through breast cancer. After being encouraged to share her story in a book, Monya began writing "I CAN-CER Vive." "I was raw and authentically poured out my soul," said Williams. "It was therapy for me and it really helped me to process all that I was going through."

"Monya takes us on a journey form her abuse childhood through her marriage and ended with surviving cancer," a reviewer wrote in a five-star review of "I CAN-CER Vive." "You see her grow from a timid, insecure child and young mother into an inspirational survivor. This book is brutally honest and emotional."

An inspirational telling of the harrowing events the author has gone through, "I CAN-CER VIVE" will strike a chord with readers from all walks of life. To learn more about the author, please visit her website.
