Author David L. Roberts, BA, MS, MS, Ph.D. draws upon years of experience working with at-risk youth and juvenile offenders to offer tips and strategies for effectively reaching troubled children and having a positive influence in his practical new guide "Psyche-Soul-ology: An Inspirational Approach to Appreciating and Understanding Troubled Kids" (published by iUniverse).
Since 1992, Roberts has been working with troubled youth, and he shares a wealth of information in "Psyche-Soul-ology." Much of the information is especially helpful for professionals and college students planning on working in helping professions like education and law enforcement. The book outlines a variety of theories and techniques for helping at-risk children and young adults progress away from violence and poverty.
"I firmly believe that the energy that is us is God in us," Roberts writes. "'Psyche-Soul-ology' reflects both the psychological and nonreligious spiritual philosophies needed to successfully redirect children away from bad choices and toward a future filled with positive opportunities."
