Ginia Marie Giselle Hinson grew up with two fathers-her own and her guardian. There was a third father, a fourth father, and a fifth father, none of them married to her mother. Nevertheless, they took the role of father to her each at his own time.
"Fathers Can Be Good Dads" (published by Xlibris) is a combination of a novel based on author Brigitta Gisella Geltrich-Ludgate's personal and family memoirs. This book traces the life of a heroine named Ginia Marie Giselle Hinson as she struggles to be accepted by her father for what she is. Her father, a staunch Englishman has to accept her and both, after butting heads considerably must find their way to each other's heart.
"In today's world with many families consisting of a single parent home with a single child, the struggle through which the three characters in the story, Patrick Gregory Hinson, Ginia Marie Giselle Hinson, and Sean O'Casey, had to go through to understand one another and make it in life can only be an inspiration to others who are confronted with the same," says the author.
"Fathers Can Be Good Dads" serves as a recollection of the author's life as a little girl and her struggles to be loved for what she was. It focuses on the relationship between a father and his daughter. It reflects on the challenges a single parent has to face and accept while raising a single child that readers can very well relate with.
