In his timely new guidebook "Careers After 40: App Yourself!" (published by Trafford Publishing), award-winning author Ron Harding discusses today's competitive job marketplace and shows readers - especially those over 40 - new paths to follow in making career objectives happen.
Quite simply, "Careers After 40" is a roadmap to success, for those who have lost their job and for those still employed who want to move on to a more fulfilling and/or better career. Harding emphasizes the importance of self-discovery and urges readers to realize that their current skills can be applied to many different careers.
In simple, practical language, "Careers After 40" addresses the obstacles facing older job-seekers. Secretaries, human resource issues and unanswered resumes are just a few of the topics Harding tackles, and he discusses how to come face-to-face with the real decision makers who make the final choices on hiring.
Harding has helped more than 100 people find success, and their enthusiasm gave him the inspiration to write "Careers After 40." "This book is different because it is based on results and does not offer the standard advice usually given to job seekers," he writes. "I want readers to discover their own worth and value and to show them the steps to take in realizing their dreams and ambitions."
