"Before Dawn: A Time of Testing, Humbling, Suffering, and Sacrificing": a powerful journey to overcome hardship with the strength of faith and the guidance of God. "Before Dawn: A Time of Testing, Humbling, Suffering, and Sacrificing" is the creation of published author Ralph Riley Cooley, retired US Air Force airman, businessman, and faithful Christian.
"Take care of your mental health. By all means, take care of your mental health. It's an unparalleled gift from God." Ralph Riley Cooley
Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Ralph Riley Cooley's new book is a powerful journey to overcome hardship that is fueled by faith.
During his birth, Ralph's mother almost lost her life trying to save his. There were so many complications that some people said that he would have been better off if he had been stillborn. He was an ugly baby. He cried a lot when strangers held him. They scorned his outward appearance as they quietly abused him in their thoughts. He did, however, grow up in a kind, loving, and faithful sharecropper family.
When he was just six years old, the family tried to buy some land in order to break the sharecroppers' curse. His family was thrust out of their home and cast into the wilderness. His mother's faithful prayers helped the family cope with the barren land, the creeks, the woods, the wild animals, and all the things that crawled the earth. In Seventh Grade, he started a self-assessment program. At sixteen, he left home and hitchhiked down a long, lonely, dangerous highway. He was searching for a schoolhouse and a better life.
