An Evil Mage only had his daughter, The Child, so that he could have a servant trained by himself, loyal only to himself, one who, because of blood ties he could control, if not her mind, at least her body. Many times, he had her do cruel things against her will, and if she cried, he enjoyed it more so that he would lengthen the time she was forced to watch her body hurt someone, thus torturing both his victims for a longer time. Because of this, The Child learned long ago not to display her feelings.

The Mage's Daughter, a compelling science fiction tale written by Leslie Kennedy tells the story of The Child, a captive daughter, favorite slave and victim of The Mage, her evil father. She came to hate her father for the way he treated her and to hate the slaves because they were treated by her father with more value than herself. After a while, however, she became happy. The Mage hated happiness, and when he discovered her happiness, he was sure that she loved someone other than himself. She would not tell him who she loved no matter how he tortured her. He went to his spell room and worked up a spell of great magnitude. He wanted it to destroy the one she loved utterly so that she would not even have a memory of him. He intended to even destroy the soul of the one she loved.

But why did the daughter of a foul creature help the slaves escape from captivity? What dangerous adventures are waiting for The Child and the rest of The Family will be revealed? Why is it that The Healer and The Warrior is being pursued by the dark ones who kill all of the infants, small children, boys, men, and elderly at each place? How will they all survive this predicament?

The Mage's Daughter will take readers into an exhilarating journey filled with danger along the way as The Child, The Family, and the rest of their friends and allies try not only to survive but, rescue those who were held captive as well as free the land from the clutches of the evil ones. An absolutely entertaining read from beginning to end, this story vividly portrays elements of unity, strong family relationships, faith, hope, survival and freedom from the bondage of evil.
