After the successful release of the first book of his Danny Carter series, "The Group," author James L. Lowther, Ph.D., returns with the second provocative volume, The Debate. This book continues to tell the story of Danny Carter, the philosophy scholar on the campus of Enlightenment University who discovers that both he and his faith are under severe attack.

In this revealing novel, Lowther reveals that three things are certain in dealing with the modern world: first, men are indeed growing worse and worse, just as the apostle Paul predicted; second, there is increasingly less tolerance for both the gospel message and for those who proclaim it; and finally, Christians, particularly the youth, are going to have to be prepared to not only stand for their faith, but also be equipped to withstand mockery, ridicule, and outright persecution.

The Debate is not only a book that helps Christians, particularly the young adults, to defend their faith, but also to come to grips with the costs of doing so. The author believes that when the society embraces such evil as abortion, homosexuality, and legalizing addictive drugs, then those who proclaim that these things are evil will of necessity face the wrath of those who embrace the evil of the day.

In this book, Lowther has written another striking novel that will both equip and prepare believers for what lies ahead. Enlightening, stimulating and packed with truths, this book will surely absorb readers and leave them wanting for more.
