Author Delena Epstein takes readers into the life of Amanda Morgan, a half-demon, half-angel who has chosen to serve man over God or Lucifer in her grave new responsibility as Guardian to mankind. In the third and final book of the Homeless trilogy, Amanda finds that this arrangement endangers her when angry demons place a bounty on her head. Although she is immortal, it doesn't mean they can't inflict pain. And in an effort to save the man she loves, her heart is pierced with an angel's sword.

After months of recuperating in heaven, Amanda returns to Earth to resume her duties. Along with her new job description come supernatural powers: invisibility, telepathy, levitation, wings that permit her to fly, chronokinesis-creating fire- and opening the veil of the physical world. But the sacrifices to help man are nearly impossible to endure. She has given up art, her greatest passion, and she cannot consummate her relationship with her best friend and love of her life, Father Samuel O'Flannery, God's liaison.

Her newest gift, the power of creation, makes her as powerful as God. Afraid of what she might do, she wants this power removed, but she refuses to speak directly to him.

Destined to spend eternity on Earth alone Amanda throws herself into making Lucifer's bargains, for everyone that rejects the offer, God can choose a soul to free from hell.

As Amanda continues to present bargains to people who must choose between heavenly or earthly desires, she begins to question these agreements. Why should people who have no chance in life be tempted to succeed and sent to hell?

Amanda rages at God, and her search for answers eventually brings her to the Archangels of Judgment, and finally, into the almighty's presence himself.

No one is immune from Judgment Day.
