Author, journalist and Texas native Bryan Burrough will discuss some of the most famous names in Texas oil history at a free issues forum Dec. 3 at the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum at Texas A&M University.
Burrough's talk will focus on his 2009 book, "The Big Rich: The Rise and Fall of the Greatest Texas Oil Fortunes," which enjoyed three weeks on the New York Times best-seller list and garnered rave reviews. Burrough profiles the Big Four oil dynasties of H.L. Hunt, Roy Cullen, Clint Murchison and Sid Richardson.
A free reception and book sale and signing will follow the event. Through a generous sponsorship from AT&T the event is offered free of charge, but reservations are strongly recommended. Register online at bushlibrary.eventbrite.com, or for more information call (979) 691-4014.
