From the creative and highly imaginative author Barbara Grivna comes a heartwarming, interesting and highly engaging book that is a composite of historical and archaeological fact, personal oral and written histories in My Father's Fathers. This volume is woven together with beautiful remembrances and hypotheses to narrate the history of the author's ancestors. Through this book, Barbara traced her ancestral roots from the prehistoric to the present era. This book narrates her journey throughout the ages. Thus, she invites readers to join her on this trip.

Grivna could not have written this book or found many illustrations without using the entries in Wikipedia.org. A list of all the sources she consulted containing information relevant to this paper would be virtually endless, so she listed some of the principal authors and titles in her references. She is greatly indebted to them all.

My Father's Fathers is a great adventure in exploring one's deep genetic past. It leads to many exciting and gratifying places, emotions and memories. Beginning in the Neolithic period, Barbara worked forward through ages, empires and peasantry to the recent past. Finding many interesting topics along the way she wants to explore more deeply, Grivna will do so in her next book. Her married name is Perlstein, but that's another story that requires research.
