In "The Wounded Heart: For Love, I'd Given My All" (published by AuthorHouse), author Aurora Aisling's new collection of poetry, readers follow a tormented soul trying to find peace through recollections of her heart, soul and mind.

"Each word written has been taken from myself and laid to rest on paper," the author says. "Don't simply read; absorb it inside yourself and feel."

Readers will be taken through the author's emotions as she brings them through her happy moments spent together with her love and the heartbreak that followed when he was stolen away by another. "Open your senses, be empathetic and experience the emotion," she says. "Only then can you appreciate someone's pain and joy."

An excerpt from "The Wounded Heart":

"Happy there was, followed by tears. My words didn't take days but prospered over years. Read them, you'll find there's something for you. See how easy my words are for you to relate to. Find in them the comfort you never thought you'd need. Start with page one and soon you will see."

About the Author
Aurora Aisling writes to find release. Instead of revealing her vulnerability, she opens up to herself with pen in hand. Aisling was raised in Tennessee where she found love, even as she watched it walk out her front door into the arms of another, that love still lives.
