Software developer, HD Interactive today announced the launch of Artbook Tampa Bay Volume II, available today, in the iTunes store for the iPad.

Designed like a "digital coffee table book", users can swipe through the art of 70 Tampa Bay artists and 10 of the area's most prominent art museums, pulling up or down on the screen to see more images of each. Artbook Tampa Bay Volume II contains over 700 pages and sells for $4.99.

The book is part of Artbook Archive, a free app that serves as a portal for its inaugural volume as well as this volume.

On May 25th, Sean Carey, President and owner of HD Interactive, and his team will host the Artbook Tampa Bay 2 launch party, held at Jonny Renos at the St. Petersburg Pier in St. Petersburg. 70 artists, whose work is featured in the book, will descend on the Pier, each bringing one piece of artwork to display & sell. The result will be a 70 person, 70-piece show that will attract over 600 people throughout the night. Some of the area's most popular artists, whose work is included in Artbook, will be in attendance, including aquatic wildlife master, Bill Correa "Woo", nationally renown painter David Williams and many others.

Artbook is the brainchild of Carey and Kevin Hohl, Chief Strategy Officer of HD Interactive.

"There were so many great submissions that we're already started branching out to other cities" says Carey. "The response from the community has been more than we ever thought."

HD Interactive already has plans to launch Artbook in other arts-centric cities like San Francisco, New York, Chicago and Austin.
