Founder and president of Eye On the Prize Ministries International, Armenta Howerton, believes much of humanity desires a relationship with God but doesn't have it. She hopes to fix this with her new Christian book, "Living For God: Seven Pillars to a Virtuous Lifestyle" (published by WestBow Press), which details seven moral character principles to help readers live virtuously in the eyes of God.

Howerton asserts that a good portion of today's society is living life only for pleasure, which she says goes against their God-given purpose. She believes the root of this problem lies with a lack of moral character and upright lifestyle in much of society. Conversely, she says that many of those who have a relationship with God through Jesus Christ desire an even closer relationship with God.

In "Living For God," Howerton discusses seven key principles: trust in God, love, submission, a pure heart, obedience, patience and humility. She is confident that anyone is capable of living a virtuous life for God if they implement these principles.

"There is no better life to live than a life in Jesus Christ," Howerton says. "You can have all your heart's desires through a committed relationship with God through Christ."
