Author Aniekan Mbah believes that leaving off retirement planning until the actual retirement period is the perfect recipe for disaster. Drawing insight from personal experience, he pens "Overcoming Challenges in Retirement" (published by AuthorHouse UK), a self-help guide that aims to help future retirees overcome the trepidations and fear when approaching retirements.
A well planned retirement is an organizational stability factor. The primary focus of this book is to emphasize the concept of retirement education, beginning from the point of entering service (be it civil service, military, paramilitary and parastatal) to the point of leaving and also to provide a guide to avoiding unnecessary pitfall. It covers a wide range of related topics - from pre-retirement challenges and challenges after disengagement; in bid to providing constructive solutions to retirement problems.
"Retirement planning that starts early in employment can cut down early life wastages and make people pragmatic and confident," says Mbah. "Leaving it till we approach the retirement point can induce and invite panic, hurry and chaos. This book promotes the development of a strong mentality pre-retirement so you will be able to invest your golden days in your passions and dreams."
A comprehensive, informative and insightful book, "Overcoming Challenges in Retirement" fills the dearth of literature in this area of concern, allowing readers to realize that there is life in retirement without being dependent on the state or relations.
