Determined to overcome her fears, preconceived ideas and reservations, one woman set out to discover her true destiny in America.

Otilia Greco shares her personal journey and experiences with immigration through her new book, "Angelica's Discoveries" (published by iUniverse). Based on events from her own life, Greco expresses her desire to explore the world outside her home in the Swiss Alps. Like the main character, Greco traveled the world seeking to enrich her life by understanding other cultures.

"Angelica portrays the optimist in all of us, she may not know what the future holds, but she trusts her intuition that everything will work out. She grows from her experiences while adapting to changes during her journey across the globe," says Greco. "Much of what Angelica goes through is based from events in my life, to never give up and pursue a dream, and the challenges I faced with moving to America."

Relying on each other for support, Greco and her husband traveled to the United States in hopes of pursuing their dreams, despite disapproval from their families. After a voyage lasting many days on her crossing of the Atlantic Ocean and conquering her fears of open water, she is determined to search for her "lost" relatives scattered across the United States.

Referencing her real life experiences in "Angelica's Discoveries", Greco expresses first hand the hardships of immigrating to a new and very different country. Angelica, much like Greco, encounters new experiences, learns from different cultures, and works to survive and flourish in her new home.
