For author, pastor and evangelist Angela D. Arnwine, faith and ministry have been a lifelong calling. Since age 12, Arnwine says she knew she would participate in ministry one day. Now, as an established pastor with Greater Deliverance Ministries, Arnwine hopes to inspire others to pursue their true callings, no matter what forces oppose them. She tells of her struggles and those of other men and women in pursuit of their callings in her new book, "Chosen" (published by WestBow Press).
Arnwine tells her personal story in "Chosen," inviting readers to experience the many hurdles she overcame on her journey to ministry. She also tells stories of other well known men and women who surmounted harrowing odds to pursue their dreams. Many of these other narrations are taken straight from the pages of the Bible. By telling her own story - as well as the stories of Abraham, Mary, Samuel and others - Arnwine hopes to inspire readers to pursue their "true callings."
An excerpt from "Chosen":
"We as believers must know we are chosen by God. We have been formed to please Him and to give Him praise. Even the beasts of the field honor Him, and so should we who are chosen and created to praise Him. This is the reason we cannot get caught up in the cares of this life. We must remember our purpose and why we were created. We were formed and created to fellowship and praise the one and only true God and to lead others to Him."
