Andrew L. Smith's 2012 Book Presents Devotional Poetry

MEMPHIS, Tenn.

In author Andrew L. Smith's 2012 book, "Manna for the Journey" (published by WestBow Press,) readers will discover a series of devotional thoughts that encourage faith from a perspective that has been described as "a little off-center." Though Smith was called to the ministry at a young age, acting as a pastor while he attended college in the 1960s, he did not follow the path of professional ministry. Instead, he built a lifelong career as an architect. His faith, though, never left him.

About the Author
Andrew L. Smith graduated from high school in 1950 and joined the U.S. Navy in 1951. He then started his studies in architecture at Georgia Institute of Technology and received his bachelor's degree in 1960. While he was in college, he served as the pastor of a small, rural church just north of Atlanta called Dunwoody Baptist. His four years as a pastor were in many ways successful, and he led the congregation to make important and far-reaching decisions.
