NEW YORK, June 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ International authors Ken Tencer and John Paulo Cardoso, announced their latest business innovation book, Cause a Disturbance, made Amazon's best-seller lists for both Entrepreneurship and Marketing based on pre-orders and reviews. Print copies of Cause a Disturbance, a strategic view on how businesses can ignite innovative solutions and create more value, began shipping from Amazon on June 1, 2014.

Unlike many other books on innovation, Cause a Disturbance emphasizes its simplicity. "Some of the most promising new ideas for growth come from within a company. The ideas are there within those who are in constant touch with customers and are in tune to their changing needs," said Tencer. "In reality, many of the revenue-generating ideas that lead to new products require little additional capital investment."

Countless firms struggle to innovate consistently. But, as the sub-title of the book indicates, if you can slice a melon or make a right-hand turn, you can be a breakthrough innovator. "These two simple innovations are actually clever and financially rewarding ideas implemented by the supermarket industry and UPS," said Cardoso. "They saw things differently. Opening their eyes and their minds brought new products and innovation. To disrupt your market, first you must disrupt the conventional thinking that got you there."

Whether a business is in transition or simply looking for an innovative spark, Cause a Disturbance explores innovation building, strengthening, and sustaining a company's relationship with its customers. Throughout the book, authors Tencer and Cardoso demonstrate how innovation is the fuel that drives entrepreneurship forward and can change businesses in simple, clearly-articulated steps.

"The knowledge shared in Cause a Disturbance can be of great value to business leaders, entrepreneurs, and intrapreneurs, when used to create a culture of innovation that is recognized as the driving force behind repeatable and sustainable innovation," said Tencer. "This type of catalyst has netted impressive results for firms small and large from the inventor of the cake pop through to Dyson, UPS, and Starbucks."
