About the Author

Ally Burnett is a Midwestern native who was born and raised in a small town in rural Iowa. She graduated from the University of Iowa, then pulled up roots and headed to Music City with her husband and two teenage children. Ally returned to college, receiving an MA in sociology from Western Kentucky University, and began teaching college-level courses. A career change took her back to college and a second MA in teaching and curriculum with an emphasis in special education. With her extensive academic background and work with students with special needs, Ally decided to fulfill her dream of writing her life story. "Happitimes: The Early Years" is the first installment of her memoirs.
