Ali Mar Peterbakk, a loving mother and grandmother, has completed her new book, "The Sapphire Scarf": a gripping and potent story of tender emotion through the life of a woman with a beautiful heart and soul.

When asked about her inspiration for the work, Ali Mar Peterbakk stated "I wrote this book as therapy to help me recover the after effects of a divorce. I turned everything negative into a positive adventure. This created a stable home environment so my children would also survive. I didn't want us to be the victim, so I used my imagination as an outlet to move on, not only for myself, but for my children. When I thought that everything was turning around, I was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Surviving the surgery, radiation, and rehabilitation, I was still left with half my vision and half my large motor skills in my upper body. I chose to overcome my misfortune by getting back into writing this book while learning patience."

Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Ali Mar Peterbakk's poignant tale follows main character, Alexis, as she deals with the passing of her husband and finds the strength to move forward. Her tale is one of compassion and courage that any reader is sure to be touched by.

A cherished gift given to Alexis was a silky blue sapphire scarf. Alexis' sapphire scarf held many memories and had become a security blanket in her journey with and without her loving husband, Pete. The scarf symbolized strength, love, support, caring, truth, beauty, adventure, guidance, and most important, life within Alexis.

Alexis takes on many challenges in her life. Alexis is a kind, simple, petite woman with a huge heart along with a very pleasant happy demeanor. She takes life as it comes at her in many emotional waves, learning and teaching morals, values, and that romantic dreams can come true.

Readers who wish to experience this mesmerizing work can purchase"The Sapphire Scarf" at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play or Barnes and Noble.
