When Alan Gilchrist was a medical student, he found it difficult to understand the well-established accounts of the foetal circulation. Many years later, when he found a small heart in a hospital mortuary in Zimbabwe, he realised that all orthodox accounts were wrong and had to be changed.

In this latest publication, "The Foetal Circulation" (published by AuthorHouse UK) reveals Gilchrist's investigations of the truth of the foetal heart and circulation, which completely demolish the old orthodox ideas.

Part one describes events leading up to Gilchrist's discovery in the mortuary, part two explores foetal circulation in detail, and part three delves into foetal heart sounds and other fascinating topics such as changes to the circulation system at birth.
Generously illustrated with drawings and diagrams, "The Foetal Circulation" offers readers profound insights into the complex circulatory system of the foetus.
