MELBOURNE, Australia

Author Alan Baker and his wife, Robyn, both share a passion for travel. Rather than simply present pictures or make a slide show, he decided to shares their experiences through a book in "A Taste of Europe" (published by Xlibris AU), which they hope would allow others to follow the narrative of their travels at their own pace.

This travel, photo book describes the Baker's trip to Europe in 2012, a light-hearted travelogue of their experiences, and some of the people they met along the way. It also provides numerous tips for the unwary traveler.

"A Taste of Europe" shares a tour around Switzerland, Southern France and Northern Italy. The Bakers had heard from numerous sources that Switzerland was everyone's favorite place in Europe so their first flight destination was Zurich. From Zurich, they went off to beautiful Paris, onto Dijon to Chalon Sur Soanne where they travelled by river cruise boat to Arles and Avignon. From Avignon, they travelled to Nice by train where they made a ripper mistake to travel by hired car into Italy - something that Alan has always wanted to do. They made their way to the beautiful Cinque Terre via Sestri Leventi and up north to gorgeous Bellagio on Lake Como in the foothills of the Italian Alps. From there, they went back to Milan, onto unbelievable Venice, down to Florence, Sienna and finished their adventure in Rome.

Accompanied by stunning photos of Europe's amazing travel spots, "A Taste of Europe" is an easy-to-read and sometimes humorous book sharing the narrative of the Baker's travel adventures. Alan hopes that, in reading this book, people would catch the same travel bug that has had him and his wife gallivanting across the globe.
