After the Mage War devastates much of what is beautiful in the world, a young half elf finds himself on the road to Catlorian without any idea of how he arrived there, where he was going or even who he is. Unbeknownst to him, he is about to face enemies who are bent on his death. Sir Solothon Calendera, accompanied by Huntmaster Arantar Adenedhel and a spoiled young elf, is on a mission to Catlorian to find the one responsible for the deaths of friends and the source of the anger with which he has been cursed. Iaprene’ Anolin is a Mage and cleric who is on a quest to find objects for an ancient foe. She is joined by another cleric, Melisande Dorn, whose rage is kept in check by her own caring nature.
As the unlikely group of strangers comes together, they must defend each other and shed their demons to bond against a writhing evil and his minions. However, can they unmask the Dark Master intent on destroying the world of Ta’el?
“The first book begins the saga and will take the reader into and through my world as if they are there,” Pool says. “It provides an escape from the day to day struggles, provides insight into what is good and what is evil and opens a window into a strange new world.”
Pool wants readers to enjoy the adventure, the intrigue and the mystery in “Catlorian I: The Savon’el.” However, he also wants them to understand the need to always choose wisely, know that those who may appear evil may not be and those who appear to be good may be those they should fear most. “Choose your friends carefully, discuss your differences and allow yourself to change when the facts point to a discordance in your thinking,” he adds.
