Storytelling is a rewarding activity which can aid in developing children's language skills and memory, according to an article in the Child Development Institute website. Adena Trevor, author of several children's books, knows the magic that comes from reading and telling stories. She invites others to discover this magic in her recently released storybook, "Freddy and Mrs Goodwich" (published by Xlibris).

Mrs. Goodwich wants to make good pancakes - definitely not the kind that tastes like rotten eggs. Mrs. Goodwich invites Freddy to her home to teach her how to make special pancakes. The pancakes are not the only special element in the story; Mrs. Goodwich herself is not an ordinary person. She is a witch but not the scary kind, she is a good and funny witch who loves great pancakes and makes flying visits on her broomstick.

Trevor based "Freddy and Mrs. Goodwich" on a story she told one of her young patients when she was a nurse. It became an instant hit and her young patient requested her to repeat the story every day when she was her nurse. Today, Trevor shares this tale to the rest of the world.
