Adam Blackstone's Super Bowl Halftime Show Earns Him 1st Emmy...  ImageAdam Blackstone, known as the musical director to Justin Timberlake, Alicia Keys, Rihanna, Janet Jackson, Maroon 5, Eminem and dozens of other A-list artists, has been nominated for his first Emmy Award for Outstanding Music Direction for Super Bowl LII Halftime Show Starring Justin Timberlake. Blackstone's musical direction of eleven songs, tightly woven into the Super Bowl's halftime, was viewed by 66,000 plus fans packed into the U. S. Bank Stadium, and 110 million watching on television and online. "Being nominated for an Emmy is an amazing and humbling experience. As an artist you strive for excellence everyday, and it's gratifying and exciting when your peers recognize it," said Blackstone.

Blackstone, a Grammy nominated artist, has been a part of music in every genre from hip-hop, country, rap, R&B, gospel, rock and everything in between. He received his Grammy nomination as Musical Director/Arranger for Pharrell's chart-topping, Happy Live, and has been a co-writer and/or producer on numerous Grammy winning and nominated songs. His breath of talents have allowed him to expand his reach into the movie making industry. He was the band leader and bassist for the Oscar nominated movie The Greatest Showman and live underscored the Oscar nominated movie Sing.

Blackstone currently serves as the Executive Producer and Musical Director for Fox's hit show, The Four, starring, Sean Combs (P. Diddy), Fergie and Megan Trainor. Previously, he was the musical advisor and a coach on The Voice. "Discovering and cultivating talent is what I love to do. Through my television projects and my company BBE, I get the opportunity to use my experience, gifts and talents to help others follow their dreams and that's an awesome feeling," said Blackstone.

Blackstone's expertise as a musical director, producer and musician has been seen at scores of live and televised award shows including; The Oscars, MTV Video Music Awards, iHeart Music Radio Festival, The Grammys, Teen Choice Awards, BET Award Shows, NAACP Image Awards and TV Land Icon Awards. He has been featured in Billboard Magazine, graced the cover of Bass Player Magazine, as well as, offered expert commentary about the music industry, instruments, sound and production in numerous publications.

Blackstone began his professional career as a musician while still attending University of the Arts. He is a classically trained jazz musician who plays the bass, guitar, piano and drums. In 2007, he and his wife launched, BBE (BASSic Black Entertainment LLC), a full service music company. In 2013, under that same moniker, they launched, BBE record label.
