Football is one of the biggest sports in America, drawing in millions of fans every season across the country. For many, it would be a dream to work underneath any NFL brand. For Ace Cacchiotti, working for the NFL became a reality, which he chronicles in his new book, "Gridiron Gumshoe: My Life in and out of the NFL Films' Vault" (published by iUniverse).

Cacchiotti began working at NFL Films in 1988 with the title "Director of Archives," a position he maintained until retiring in 2008. "Gridiron Gumshoe" tells the story of how Cacchiotti wound up with NFL Films, as well as the "...growth of the game itself and more importantly the growth of NFL Films," says Cacchiotti. "'Gridiron Gumshoe' delivers wonderful impressionable moments as well as interesting anecdotes. Much factual knowledge, of course, is a given, but at times sprinkled in with 'tongue in cheek.'"

More important than the story of his career with NFL Films however, Cacchiotti hopes "Gridiron Gumshoe" tells of the "...heartfelt and sincere relationship" he shared with Steve Sabol, the former president of NFL Films.
