FALLS CHURCH, Va.

Abel Gashe wants to share a paradigm about the American civilization and its modus operandi to give readers additional perspective on how to interpret one's American experience, and the reality that unfolds in the emergent nature of the society he lives in.

A pragmatic and positive outlook by a ?rst generation immigrant from Ethiopia, "GPS for America" (published by Xlibris) lays out an integrated and holistic approach, exhibiting that the American dynamics is a transformational living phenomenon framed on four major paradigms: first, America is a land of freedom; second, America is a land of opportunity; third, America is impregnated with inertia within it that pivots it to "repair its faults;" and fourth, America is moving forward as a more perfect Union.

"The structure with which the thesis of the book is developed and the systemic paradigm developed in the book about America cannot be matched," Gashe says. "The book gives a highly organized approach to give clear perspective to readers on the subject matter. The issues and specific topics discussed helps to gain the kind of wisdom one needs to know the American reality."

Through this work, Gashe pays tribute to the United States and its people for granting him, and million others from around the world, the kind of freedom he says they could not get in their own mother land.

About the Author
Abel Gashe was born and raised in Gojjam, Ethiopia, a biblical grid known for its mystical nature encircled by the eternal river Ghion (Nile). He immigrated to the United States 23 years ago. As a first generation immigrant, Gashe has remained fascinated by the way the American system of governance functions, while appreciating the grace of the Lord that allows a sojourner like him to enjoy such fundamental basic human rights as life and liberty, which have become rare commodities in his native land. He is currently living with his family in Falls Church.
