You know, West Side, maybe? Since you appear to be workin' in Santa Monica?"

I resist without much effort the urge to say to him, "Look, until three months ago I was living right in Santa Monica. And I packed up and left there, moved here to downtown L.A., as a free choice. You should stop worrying about it because I am exactly where I want to be, for reasons you would never understand. Give it a rest, will ya?"
