Aana Mila Bella grew up in a small Bosnian village surrounded by vibrant greenery and a plethora of fresh air. She felt free. However, everything changed when she turned six and her father began to abuse her sexually, mentally and emotionally. On top of that, war erupted in her country and she was forced to endure its horrors for five years, even being shot at one point.
In "You're Not Alone" (published by Balboa Press AU), Bella shares her personal journey of overcoming nearly 12 years of continual abuse, war, and the resulting depression and anxiety. Her life was full of struggle and the residual effects of the horrific events she endured, but Bella eventually began to find peace after attending a Jehovah's Witness Congress.
Now, "You're Not Alone" shares the perseverance that saw her through, the help she found in others and, ultimately, how the steadfast love of God helped her reach out and take hold of her life.
Bella's story is one of heartfelt emotion, turbulence and faith. Her hope is that, by opening up and revealing what happened to her, readers will learn to "Never give up. Never be ashamed of what happened to you. There are people who care for you."
