NORFOLK, Va.
A.S. Trotman is launching a new marketing campaign for her 2008 urban novel about the so-called war on drugs, "Heartless" (published by Trafford Publishing).
"I want to engage readers through a journey in the life of a street hustler," Trotman says. "Readers will get a taste of what that life is really about - all the highs, lows and everything in between. The intent is not to glorify hustling, but to educate the readers in hopes that they will choose a better way."
Christopher "Killah Cam" Cameron and his cousin Turquoise "Turk" Cameron are the heads of the Cameron Organized Crime Family (C.O.C.). They are celebrating the fifth year of an extremely profitable run in the heroin business, but unbeknownst to the rest of the team, Killah is also celebrating his final year as one of the heads of the C.O.C.
A story of love, loyalty, respect, honor and, of course, betrayal, "Heartless" follows Killah's attempts to transition from drug kingpin to legit multimillionaire and Turk's great lengths to keep the crew together or take over in the outrageously violent fashion he is known for.
Readers ride with Killah, Turk, and the rest of the C.OC. in this urban novel urging readers to stay off the streets and choose a better path.
